In December, Specialist Door Solutions (SDS) took an important step forward in its sustainability journey by transitioning to Recycling Lives for waste management services.
This move reflects our commitment not only to responsible environmental practices but also to achieving measurable, transparent impact.
A key benefit of this partnership is access to detailed reporting and data insights, enabling us to clearly understand and demonstrate the outcomes of our waste management activities. Rather than viewing waste as a purely operational requirement, we can now quantify how these activities contribute to wider environmental and social goals.
Between November 2025 and April 2026, our waste management spend has generated £31,988 in social value. This figure represents more than just a metric — it highlights how everyday business operations can actively support communities, create opportunities, and contribute to a more sustainable future.
By embedding this level of visibility into our processes, SDS is able to make more informed decisions, align with NHS and industry sustainability targets, and play a meaningful role in driving positive change.
