About us.

Specialist Door Solutions (SDS) are designers and manufacturers of high quality healthcare doorsets for hospital and clinical environments.

SDS is the UK’s leading designer and manufacturer of specialist doorsets for demanding environments. With a comprehensive portfolio of healthcare doorsets, we are a true single-source supply partner for healthcare providers.

We are very proud of our 40-year track record of successful collaboration with architects, contractors, NHS trusts and private hospitals, partnerships which are a based on our core tenets of specialisation, dedication and sincerity.

Our highly experienced team are specialists: experts in product innovation, development and optimisation; dedicated to ensuring our customers’ technical and commercial needs are fully met; and sincere in how we run our business, communicate with our customers and nurture beneficial business relationships.

SDS own and operate a state-of-the-art, UK based manufacturing plant which allows us to produce fully compliant doorset solutions whilst maintaining tight, ‘hands-on’ control over quality. This also means fast delivery times for our customers, which are typically half the industry average.

SDS is certified Quality Management System: BS EN ISO 9001:2015 and Environmental Management System: BS EN ISO 14001:2015. 

ISO 9001 supports organisations to create Quality Management Systems (QMS) to ensure clear, repeatable processes to maintain consistent, high levels of quality service for customers. Established by the International Organisation for Standardization (ISO), ISO 9001 is the world’s most recognised quality management standard. ISO 14001 requires organisations to assess environmental issues relevant to their operations, such as waste management, resource use and efficiency and is an internationally agreed and recognised standard for Environmental Management Systems (EMS). An EMS supports organisations in identifying, managing, monitoring and controlling environmental processes.
