SDS played a key role in the rapid refurbishment of the Neptune Ward, a 24-bed paediatric unit at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, delivering compliant, durable and aesthetically warm doorsets within an exceptionally tight programme.

About the project.

The Neptune Ward refurbishment aimed to create a brighter, more welcoming paediatric environment while increasing the ward’s functionality. The upgraded ward now accommodates 24 paediatric beds, including two anti-ligature rooms specifically designed for young patients with mental health needs - an essential enhancement to overall safety and care quality.

With a total refurbishment period of just 10 weeks, the project required exceptional coordination and fast-track procurement to minimise disruption and restore bed capacity as quickly as possible.
