Bordon, Hampshire, UK — Specialist Door Solutions (SDS) has expanded its range of fire rated hospital doorsets with the introduction of Shieldoor® lead-lined, x-ray doors. Shieldoor® not only shields against harmful radiation but protects against the demanding and challenging environments within hospital and radiology facilities.

Shieldoor® offers a seamless transition between our Dfendoor® and Lamdoor® ranges, meaning clients can have the luxury of a uniform design across their environment.
Shieldoor® was designed in consultation with several individuals within the healthcare sector including Radiation Protection Advisors (RPAs), healthcare designers and hospital estates and their input helped inform our design.
In addition, the doorsets successfully underwent fire testing under the BM Trada Q-Mark scheme achieving FD30 and FD60 certification.
